This is the final project for my drawing class. i used collage acrylic and sharpie on a 20x24 canvas
i had so much fun doing this portrait. im thinking of doing portraits like this of my other characters.
below is a picture sent of my tattoo design that someone used on themselves. thats the third person to get that design tattoed, im going to have to change it if im gonna get it! haha
its a little distorted, pretty good though.

so its been forever right!?

i havent been drawing lately, like at all. :( which is really bad.
now that ive graduates and im out of school, i thought i would have more time. but i work alot now and i just sleep all day. i guess im just lazy D:
im going to start carrying my sketchbook everywhere so that i can just draw whenever. looking at all my csssa classmates who are all going to art colleges, im sooo sad! im just going to evergreen JC and i have no idea after that. id love to go to calarts but right now, i dont have the money or the practice.
i made a flash animation for my class. its about a minute long, but now that i think of it my characters dont have alot of expressions and i dont exaggerate poses. i need to practice animating soooo bad D:

well work is fun. i love hanging out with coworkers all the time, some of them are weird though. and some are super annoying. im planning a beach trip next week, its gonna be awesomeeee. then the next day im leaving to vegassss. we're going to the grand canyon and then to watch cirque du soleil! wooooo best show everrr haha.

i want to make another bag. like the le sportsac ones but better. ill draw a bunch of animals on it too hahaha.

i might go for a promotion again at work. i kind of gave up after seeing how stressed people get. but the other day i pretty much did a lead job while another lead took the credit. and my friend was like, why dont you just be lead?
so maybe they will promote me and regret not doing it sooner. if not i doubt ill be at amc much longer. i want to go away to college, somewhere down south i hope. ill work at a bookstore or an art store. that would be awesomeee!
so i should post some of my art that i did this school year. since i havent updated in foreverrrr.
this was a random character design i was playing with the first time i used flash haha

this one was done in my independent study class, i wanted to play with texture, but the whole picture didnt turn out well.

This was a painting done in acrylics for the same class. i got so sick of this by the time i was done.

this one is probably one of the best ive ever drawn. its me as a pirate, but i put so much work into the details and the cross hatching. you cant really see any of it unless you click on it.

this one was a portrait practice using photoshop so that i could teach the animation classes how i use photoshop and wacom tablets.

this one was fun cause i love cross hatching. done for drawing and painting class.

this last one was to practice concept art. i did a night and a day version.
annnnd thats about it. most of the stuff i did in class all school year. i need to make a portfolio.

tomorrow for animation we are going on a feild trip to SJSU to meet jeffrey katzenberg. my high school class gets to sit in the front row and ask questions with all the college students. exciting!
even though hes not an animator or anything its still cool that he started dreamworks with spielberg. i want to watch monster house again.

im gonna go play zelda :)

i just got back from watching harry potter. midnight showing was pretty amazing. i got in line around 740 with aly. we sat and played DS with about 20 other people in line the whole time. Parents had work and it was too late for kids, so everyone there was around my age. we were all picto chatting and playing mario bros. and mario kart. i kicked butt in mario kart and i heard random people yelling "who the hell is jackehh!?" :) pretty fun.
i ended up sitting next to andre and Aly in the theater. we were doing weird hand snake tricks.
So the movie was awesome. they cut out alot like always, but most of my favorite parts were there. since i just read the book last week i could point out everything they changed. There were alot of funny parts, and the audience kept clapping. There were parts where everything was serious, but aly and i found something funny about it and started cracking up. it was fun :)
cant wait until the midnight party for Deathly Hallows.

Now since i have sound on my computer ive been listening to a lot of new music. i love meg and dia! two girls almost my age who started a band and are touring the US. Their songs are inspired by famous books like the great gadsby, catcher in the rye, and a lot of old british books. i just finishes rereading harry potter the the order of the phoenix (my favorite one) because i wanted inspiration. it only took me two days! 850 pages woo. thats pretty fast for me, im a slow reader. hahaa but its a kids book.

yaaayyyy! i finally overcame my artists block yesterday :) and now that its summer i can draw alll dayyyy :D

i got an application to micheals, i dont know if i really want to work yet though. i need to make more money for the people to people group so i can hopefully travel to austrailia (or europe) next summer.

i still have a dilemna for what colleges i should apply to. im still iffy about animation, i dont know if im cut out for that. im more of an illustration person. for sure im applying to calarts (for character animation and fine arts) and to laguna beach for illustration. maybe a couple of art colleges in san francisco since there are like 50 there.

i want to go to the rennaisance faire this year. maybe they will have pirate day again so i can buy things for my collection :)

heres a drawing i did last night that kept me up until 3 coloring. i didnt scan the colored version yet though.

school is almost out! three more days. i have finals for the last days of school blehhh
well now that its over and my grades are pretty good, i can draw! alot! :D next week im going to pismo beach, the best place in the world, for a few days. i need to go surfing more. maybe i will buy a cheap board somewhere. and since my mom will be working i can walk around the pier and draw people! woo :)
this summer i am planning on running every day. how fun. i need to get in shape if i want to do waterpolo next year. i am also going to learn how to skateboard (which was postponed last summer because i broke my toe) and i am going to get a job. probably at AMC or michaels.
yesterday i went to the beach with a whole bunch of people. it was so fun. the weather was nice, i got burnt, went booooogie boarding, and played volleyball. but there was a dead seal :(
im going to try and get my animation class to go on a field trip to the next sketch crawl in san francisco. even though its during the summer. sounds like fuuunnnnnnn.

well i guess ill update on my art. i havent been drawing much because im focusing on grades and my computer broke :(

so i havent posted anything in here since december so i guess ill update :D
i got bad grades last semester :( well, a D in english which is retarded. i think im just going to end up going to evergreen jc and transfering to SJSU :\ they have a pretty good animation program (but theyre no calarts) and i hear they have a world renown figure drawing teacher teaching there. i hopt hes still there by the time i get there. i really need to start taking a figure drawing class SOMEWHERE. maybe at evergreen if i can get a ride.

Well a few weeks ago i entered this marine life contest. they will announce the results next month. and i am also painting a poster for the cesar chaves contest. its due the 26th. i have one week of school until winter break. when i am GOING TO HAWAII!!! :D hahah then the next week is my birthday yayy :)

ill post some of my recent drawings... orr crafts haha. The maquette is a project from animation last year. i never finished it cause i got mad when someone ripped off the arm. and her legs are too short. There is also the paper mache dinosaur from class, and the portrait of keiraknightley done in acrylic. it was my first time painting on canvas and everything! it was fun haha.

wow its been a loooooooong time :0

sketchcrawl was today and i didnt get to go again. i need to find something to do this next year. I have alot of plans but they require a car and stuff. ugh! i need to enter all the contests i can. i think thats only the cesar chavez contest and anti tobacco poster. Ill spend this year making a portfolio and maybe taking some classes at SJSU. i need to sign up for a figure drawing class SOMEWHERE. the only thing like that i get to do is 3 3 minute poses once every other week in animation. :( i guess i could do it on my own but physiology and english have me doing homework all the time. i cant wait until christmas break. OH and my parents said that we're going to hawaii in february! i hope it actually happens this time. we havent been on a vacation since i was 5.

so i finally discovered that ebay has so many pirate stuff. anchors old maps compasses model ships! oh mannn i wish i could buy it all :D
lets seee since i last updated, i joined the powderpuff team. I played starting center for the sophomore junior team. we lost in the last 4 minutes of the game. which means that with only 6 days of practice, we could have beaten the seniors who practiced for a month! i swear they sucked! maybe next year.

I have a goal that next semester i will get straight A's. i dont try hard enough. my grades right now are A, A, A, A, B, C, D. haha! only cause i dont do homework most of the time.
okay ill post a few drawings ive done since my last post :)
the first is a watercolor painting i did for drawing class. it got printed in the newspaper. the second i never finished because when i was about to finish coloring my computer shut off. and i was using the trial for opencanvas so i couldnt save. i got so mad haha.

its so stressful. i barely have time to draw. ugh whateverrrr
There are alot of things i have to do in the next few months.
rennaissance faire is going to be ending soon so i have to go within the next 2 weeks. there are about 3 poster contests that i wanted to try again and get first place, but i also want to make calenddars and sell them. They all need to be done around the same time, so i have to choose. i think ill do calendars cause ill make more money that way ^^; hah and after that last contest and its stupid biased judging i lost my interest in san jose's doors contest. ugh gross
well im sick. its spreading around all my friends cause we're always so packed together at the same table. a table that holds less than 6 people to seat atleast 20. whatever. being sick and having it start to get cold and rainy reminds me of christmas. :)

RIP Steve Irwin.

Yesterday i went fishing with my parents on the pier at santa cruz. it was cool, we didnt catch very much. My dad caught an octopus and starfish (on accident) and i left to go drop the starfish into the water while i left my pole, and i guess i caught a big fish and a seal ate it and dragged my pole off the pier into the water. broke the line. hahah good thing it had a cork handle and it was floating. we had to fish it out of the water. the rest of the day we went to the new chilis that opened. i had the best dessert in the world. Molten chocolate volcano ohhh man :) then we watched invincible. prettty gooood.

Today i didnt do much. went to the park with my dog. played DS. steve irwin died and im so sad. i liked his show.
i thought he was invincible.
i hope animal planet does a marathon of his shows :(

monterey bay aquarium

Yesterday.
it was amelias birthdayyyyy!
i went to great america with my family and cousins. It was pretty fun. i went on top gun and drop zone and some kid spongebob ride. We bought candy and went home to play video games and stuff.
Today i woke up at 10 and went to montery bay aquarium with my brother and jezeill. It was cold over there. We walked around the whole place, touched some sting rays and star fish. Then we went to go eat and this expensive seafood restaurant that looks out over the ocean. I had the best clam chowder in the world in a huge bread bowl. I couldnt even finish it. 11 bucks :) it was soooo good and worth it. So we walked around to the candy stores and saw this art gallery of this guy who paints illustrations for books about two mice a cat and a pirate frog! the paintings were soo nice they almost looked 3D. And there was half of a pirate ship built into the wall of the art gallery. I bought one of his calendars!

Seeing His paintings of pirate ships and little animal pirates makes me want to draw! i havent drawn in a while. too tired.
And Just now i came back from watching Idlewild. It was a really good movie, they had very unique animations that happened and it went with the music. its hard to explain so just go watch it :)
i should clean my room. tomorrow is my last day of summer. Im going to go watch pirates of the caribbean2 by myself tomorrow cause everyone has seen it already. and get ready for school. ugh

i lost a total of 30 pounds on and off ( i gained it all back )

this summer sucked. With the exception of csssa :(

There are 5 days of summer left. My schedule will most likely be sleeping in till 3pm. eating watching tv sleeping at 5am. go to great america on saturday. go school shopping. i hate august.
I wish i had a car. Thats the only thing stopping me from going to the beach every week, getting a job, hanging out with my friends, visiting csssa friends, going out to eat with people. ugh everyone is so lazy here. if i were them i would want to spend every day doing something before school starts. i guess its cause they all start school in a month. no fair.

So today Amelia and Jeff invited me to go to a figure drawing class at UC Berkeley, and a picnic for amelias birthday. I got all excited about it and forgot that next saturday i have to go to the company picnic at great america. so i cant gooo :( i havent told them yet. ahhhhh im sad. Maybe we will be able to do it another day. We really need to go on a road trip to all of our houses once we get cars and stuff. All the way from Long beach to the bay area to Vancouver canada then across to New york. that would be so cool hahah.
I really want to go back to CSSSA with everyone again. Regular school sucks so bad compared to it. And the friends i made there are so cool. i felt like ive known them for years already. And the cool thing about them is that they all draw. So when we hang out we sit there and draw! My friends at school dont care. Im only excited to go back to school to finish my maquette i was working on at the end of the school year in animation. And to try Photo class. Ive never had 7 classes so its gonna suck waking up at 6 every morning when its dark. i haattttteeee waking up when its dark. ugh. atleast im not doing waterpolo. The stupid coach from last year fired my favorite coach and is trying to take over both teams. Im not going to play a crazy sport like that with people i dont like when its not even fun. jeeez!
